Practice Owner and Registered Psychotherapist
Cathy is a Registered Psychotherapist and the owner of MindSprout Psychotherapy. She works with children, teens, and young adults who are navigating anxiety, OCD, and emotions that can feel overwhelming or difficult to manage. Her work focuses on helping young people build confidence and practical skills to better manage challenges that affect daily life at home, at school, and in relationships.
Cathy brings experience from hospital, community, and private practice settings, where she has supported individuals of all ages and worked alongside families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams. This diverse background allows her to approach care with a broad perspective and an understanding of the systems that often surround children and youth.
Her clinical work is grounded in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Therapy is thoughtfully tailored to each client’s developmental stage, personality, and needs, balancing structure with flexibility to support meaningful progress.
Collaboration is central to Cathy’s work. She believes lasting change happens when young people feel supported not only in therapy, but across the environments where they live and grow. She works closely with parents and caregivers to build shared understanding, align strategies, and create consistency that supports progress over time. By working together as a team, families are better equipped to support growth beyond the therapy room.
At MindSprout Psychotherapy, Cathy is committed to providing care that is thoughtful, respectful, and grounded in both clinical expertise and human connection. Her goal is to create a space where young people and families feel understood, supported, and empowered to move forward with confidence.
